Halloween is just around the corner and preparations are in full swing all over the country.
Yards are being decorated with all the colors of fall, the scarecrows are coming out of the sheds and here and there we might already see huge spiders hanging. Resting in their cob webs hanging from trees in peoples front yards.
We all know what this mean. The scariest night of the year is almost here. The kids already know what they want. Pumpkins scarier than the neighbors Lanterns and costumes you would not even begin to dream of.
Wait a minute, isn’t that what Halloween night is all about? Candy, kids and costumes. It sure is, and guess what? A cool costume is a must, your kids will agree with that.
The question then is how you get away with getting them a cool costume for a reasonable price? Have you ever considered making them yourself? With some help and guidance it is not as hard as you think it is.
For kids, Halloween is all about costumes and pumpkins, even all the candy has to come second to this. Why not get a book with Halloween ideas and have your kids go thru it with you, that way they become a part of it all from the very beginning.

Fixing a Leaky Toilet
Leaky toilets are usually caused by one of two things: One, a leaky seal at the base. A leaky seal at the base will usually make itself known when you flush, the water will surround the base of the toilet immediately. Two, a leaky flapper valve in the toilet tank. Lift the cover and note the water level, or mark it with tape or a marker, if the water level varies without anyone flushing the toilet, then it is the flapper. In the case of the flapper leaking, you will likely hear the toilet hissing and filling every few minutes or so, check your water bill for evidence as well.

Check the chimney for debris or bird nests. Most fires occur at first lighting of a wood stove in the fall. Looking up the chimney, you should see the cap or sky depending on your chimney type. Check and clear the flu, then pull out the ash pan shoveling or sweeping any ash build up. Next, of course, clean out the stove where the wood rack goes. Finally, check the exit pipe from the stove to the wall, remove any ash or wood debris. If you have children, look for toys and stuffed animals, ahh..there's that watch, some kid named Iduneo is always taking my stuff.

A major earthquake has killed at least 20000 in India, Kashmir, and Pakistan. The quakes' centre was located about 60 miles from Islamabad. At least 250 school children were killed when their building collapsed on top of them. Apartment towers made of reinforced concrete and steel are said to have collapsed in this violent earthquake. Already, twice the number of people killed in Katrina, these people will need your help. Please give to charities in order to help the unfortunate victims of this terrible disaster. Another incident in Guatemala occurred due to flooding and landslides, 1500 more victims there too.
